BBA vs ACCA

BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration):

Bachelor's degree program in business administration/ business studies/ management studies are called by various names by the different universities. However, all are more or less the same course. Bachelor of Business Administration is a 3or, 4 years fulltime course that is designed to give rise to future professionals, rather than mere degree holders. BBA allots a lot of options open like Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource, Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Management, etc. It offers a better personality development as well. Likely, BBA graduates often find it easier to crack MBA (Master in Business Administration) entrance exams, as compared to other commerce graduates.

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants):

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a British accountancy body which offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification worldwide. It is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing accountancy bodies. Time for ACCA varies with number of papers one appears in ACCA exams that is held on June and December. It consists of 14 papers i.e. nine fundamental papers and five professional papers. ACCA also offers a B.Sc. (Hons.) program itself from Oxford Brookes University. It not only helps you to be a financial analyst but one can also specialize in auditing or taxation or cost management. ACCA is advantageous in the sense of having Universal Recognition. If one really wants to pursue career in Accounting or Finance then one should opt for it. One can also transfer to a UK university for the last year and continue ACCA over there.

COMPARISION - BBA OR ACCA:

ACCA and BBA are two diverse fields which, in my opinion, should not be compared. It is like comparing Football with Rugby or Cricket with Baseball, though similar; yet different. Comparison can never be done between two unlike terms. However, both are equally important in their own perspective and are more worthy to get job easily these days. What really counts is nothing but one's interest.
